Section 1
In this section, staff will gain a better understanding of the importance of their role and how they can play a crucial role in preventing safeguarding issues.
Section 2
Annex A is a condensed version of Part one. Annex A can be given to staff who do not directly work with children, if "the governing body or proprietor think it will provide a better basis for those staff to promote the welfare and safeguard children".
Section 3
Annex B contains important additional information about different forms of abuse and safeguarding issues. Leaders in Schools/Colleges and staff who work directly with children should read this.

But some information on the first page appeared to be out of date: It said that particular version of Keeping Children Safe in Education will come into effect at a date in 2023. We are now in 2024 so we have passed that date.
