The Health & Safety at Work Act 1974

“The Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 is an Act of the Parliament of the United Kingdom that as of 2011 defines the fundamental structure and authority for the encouragement, regulation and enforcement of workplace health, safety and welfare within the United Kingdom.”

The Fire Safety Order 2005

“The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 was introduced in October 2006. Fire and rescue authorities and other bodies (‘enforcing authorities’) have a duty to enforce fire safety in non-“domestic premises.”

The Health and Safety (Display Screen Equipment) Regulations 1992

“The Health and Safety (Display Screen Equipment) Regulations 1992 apply to workers who use DSE daily, for an hour or more at a time. We describe these workers as ‘DSE users’. The regulations don’t apply to workers who use DSE infrequently or only use it for a short time.”
