Our experts

Our team of experts help schools, colleges and institutes of higher education work towards compliance with legislation every day. They help make workplace training as straightforward as possible.

I’ve worked with hundreds of clients in the Education sector over the years, helping them work towards compliance with legislation and create and maintain a safer working environment for the staff and students alike. I worked with a client to form our KCSIE training module – now 3 years on we are proud that we were able to help schools easily adhere to their mandatory safeguarding requirements.

Why is training important?

Relevant legislation

It’s important that you comply with the law and understand the positive impact training can have on your organisation.

For those working within schools, colleges and universities, Health and Safety training is absolutely essential. Core programmes such as Fire and DSE satisfy legislative requirements laid out in The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and The Health and Safety (Display Screen Equipment) Regulations 1992. All workplaces are required to comply with The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999.In addition to broad workplace legislation, The Children’s Act 2008 and the Government’s latest publication Working Together to Safeguard Children 2015 both outline the necessity for Safeguarding training for anyone working around children. Other legislation relevant to educational institutes includes: Food Information Regulations (E1169/2011), The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012.

Having used iHasco previously, I knew how useful it was for quickly and effectively training staff and ensuring compliance. It was the obvious choice for our H&S training needs.
