Sensitive Personal Data is…
The special categories of personal data are broadly the same as what used to be known as sensitive personal data, so information about an individual’s:
– Race
– Physical and Mental Health
– Religion
– Political views
– Health
– Sex life
– Criminal activityIt now also includes information on an individual’s biometric data.
Ok, so what constitutes Personal Data?
It’s important not to get sensitive personal data confused with personal data, personal data can take the form of a person’s:
- Name
- Address
- Email Address
- Telephone number
- IP Address
