Natasha’s law and our Food Allergy Awareness course

The Food Information (Amendment) (England) Regulations 2019, also known as “Natasha’s law” is due to come into force on the 1st of October 2021. This will require any food business to provide a full ingredients list and allergen labelling on any food product pre-packed.

The legislation came about as a result of the death of Natasha Ednan-Laperouse, a teenager who suffered an allergic reaction to an undeclared ingredient in a pre-packed food product.

The legislation aims to protect consumers that suffer from allergies and help to give them more confidence in consuming the food they buy.

In regards to reflecting these changes in our existing Food Allergy Awareness Training course, we will be releasing an updated version of the course in September that will bring the course in line with the quality of our newest courses, whilst also covering the necessary legislative updates ahead of the 1st of October.
