Ideally this would be coupled up with a practical exercise for a full accreditation

A good basic computer course
As a trainer myself i find a practical training course is better than a virtual or a computer question / answer test. as a one to one training course shows the candidates strengths and weaknesses . although on this occasion i understand that it was not possible
