I really enjoy these courses

The course is very well explained, easy to follow, I like the elements of the video tutor and animation and wording which helps with multi sensory learning, making the course enjoyable to watch and learn.

This course covers the basics required by our staff and volunteers

This on-line course is helpful in explaining the basic requirements of CoSHH and how to go about daily tasks, principally within the workplace. Much is about the common sense approach but it also covers some of the more specialised tasks, details of requirements and where to get help and advice where needed.

One piece of information is debateable.

The suggestion that in the event of a flammable spill, electrical appliances should be turned off. This can cause a spark which could ignite any fumes present. We were instructed to turn off the electric at the distribution board (assuming it's remote to the area) to eliminate any risk of a spark. Keith Scarrott CChem MRSC
