This course covers the basics required by our staff and volunteers
This on-line course is helpful in explaining the basic requirements of CoSHH and how to go about daily tasks, principally within the workplace. Much is about the common sense approach but it also covers some of the more specialised tasks, details of requirements and where to get help and advice where needed.
One piece of information is debateable.
The suggestion that in the event of a flammable spill, electrical appliances should be turned off. This can cause a spark which could ignite any fumes present. We were instructed to turn off the electric at the distribution board (assuming it's remote to the area) to eliminate any risk of a spark. Keith Scarrott CChem MRSC

A very informative course, giving a lot of background information and legislation, a great introduction.

This course was well laid out. The presenter was presentable, well spoken and forth right with her facts and figure displayed effectively with easy to understand pictures and demonstrations.
