First Aid at Work Refresher Training Reviews

So, when it came to the question regarding if you needed a first aid kit, as a Lone worker, I found this unclear. In one part of the course it states the employer 'would' have created suitable policies/procedures for lone workers and they should also have welfare and first aid support available for you as well. It implies that Regulations say Employers must carry out suitable risk Assessments. I read this as there would be one in place. So, I found the question that if you need one, what can you ask your Employer to do,? tricky. As it also states further under LONE WORKERS – an Assessment to see if you need one. So when you are reading the information, personally, it would have been clearer to state in (brackets) ( Depending on what JOB/TASKS you do) you MIGHT need a first aid kit. But not all lone workers need one ! So the question, if you felt you needed one – Why haven't you got one , as an Assessment might take some time to do and if you were going off to do a job and had an accident, then where's the first aid kit? So by asking them to supply me with a first aid kit as soon as possible, would prompt them into giving you a basic kit for time being. Then assess this to suit the tasks. So if it had clearly stated NOT ALL LONE WORKERS need a first aid kit, earlier in the information. The question could have been "Do all lone workers need a first aid kit." ? Yes or No. Or the answer assess my first aid needs first would have been clearer and obvious . Just an observation., especially after taking about staff cycling, as many more employers promote and invest – offering financial incentives, for well being, carbon emissions, parking or offer company cars/vans.
