Good Course
Course was straight forward and easy to take in. I would say that you do need to find a quiet area and complete the course without interruption. This is a basic knowledge of a very specialised subject. Definitely consider other courses using this method.

too brief offers no long term retention
Although it seems very comprehensive it barely touches on actual legislation, and offers guidelines so an individual still comes through the 'training' without the actual truth of the legislation. Seems more like a band aid where an operation is required.

Good Information
It is quite a long training session to take in at one go for Managers – some of the questions ask you to remember specific figures – without taking accurate notes all the way through the session it is easy to get some of the questions wrong, they could gain this information from the HSE statistics on line. All managers need to know is the workplace has many hazards and could cause harm to all categories of people that may be affected and they need to identify the hazards and reduce the risks. I would suggest asking more crucial questions relating to an outline of a problem such as COSHH – keeping a register, obtaining a MSDS and producing a safety assessment – or what training should be supplied to staff – or where to go for help – HSE etc.
