totally irrelevant to my job
How to move people safely using the appropriate equipment. This course has no relevance to my work and I don't understand why I am required to do it.
Very Good
Although manual handling is what we do everyday, the course is beneficial in that it reminds and corrects us on any aspect of manual handling that we are doing badly which may have adverse impact on our back especially bad posture.
Nice and easy steps to understand

mostly not relevant
I felt that most of this content wouldn't be relevant to my role.
Great course
Enjoyed doing the manual handling course and will come in to use in my daily work practices. Learning about the techniques of how to be safe for others and yourself.
Very informative
Really enjoyable and informative. Easy to follow and covers alot of information needed. Very clear and easy listening and learning.
Poor.
When you want to go back and check something you need to watch all videos again fully which wastes time. Some answers technically have more than one correct answer for instance the spinal disc itself has no blood supply. Without a blood supply the disc does not have a way to repair itself, and pain created by the damaged disc can last for years. However "the spinal disc has no blood supply" was not considered a correct answer. The sound on the video was also poor. You should also be able to skip a slide if you already know the subject and yet are unable to do this which means watching through a lot of stuff that you have done before.
Very effective training
I enjoyed the lesson learnt from moving and handling people including heavy loads for a transfer, from one end to another using the right equipment and applying the right techniques only if you are well trained to do so. Learning more about posture to prevent or minimise back injuries for both service user and support staff is important and motivating. This training has helped me to reflect on my previous performances at work in the care home where we used different types of moving and handling equipment but insufficient for the tasks. One group of staff should wait for another to complete their own task before passing on the hoist, wheel-chair, sliding board etc. to another. The one most important and inspiring idea adopted as reflection to me is by assessing the care needs through care plans of the clients first, by selecting the right equipment fit for the purpose as described or thought through the trai
