Misleading answer
Question 6 – the answer is misleading. Teachers should not be encouraged to investigate concerns themselves, instead, they should be encouraged to pass on their concerns to the DSL.
A useful and positive summary of PREVENT
It was useful to understand PREVENT as an integral part of safeguarding and it offered helpful ideas and strategies for discovering whether there is a genuine concern, or whether it might be part of a child's usual pattern of behaviour, particularly if they are a teenager diagnosed with autism.
