Need more on children with disabilities
Too often a diagnosis of disability, clouds the workers thinking about the child possibly being at risk of abuse or abused. Particularly when there are social and health development issues, and the child or young person's cognition is impaired – disclosure may be recognised through play and concerning common signs are blighted by the worker not thinking critically or trusting their gut feeling.

comprehensive and accessible
You deal with core issues in safeguarding really well – but also I appreciated the gentle pastoral care for the staff member that ran all through the presentations.

emotionally difficult question relevance
As warned, some of the content of this course was difficult to cope with. it was clearly presented without judegement and mostly balanced, but my main issue is that it does not seem relevant to my role as i will not work with children at all, not be responsible for them and rarely come in contact with them. given the distressing nature of the conent, is it necessary training? i suppose everyone needs to be aware of these issues however.
Thorough and clear
Picked out the really key elements of safeguarding and connected well with the additional material, a good balance. Dealt with the very emotive/distressing elements calmly and factually with clear direction.
Excellent course
I thought this extremely important course was an excellent in content. The graphics worked well, I liked the mixed mediums! Words, narrative and graphics… found it very easy to get to the key elements
