March course announcements round up

After a busy month for the production team we have seen a number of course releases, from updates to brand new courses. This month also saw our very first text-based course go live, to give our users an enhanced library and fulfil learning in areas that do not require a video format. While we still plan to provide engaging, video-based content for the majority of our training courses, this new format provides an alternative learning experience when appropriate for the length and subject. All of our courses provide a course certificate on completion, which is often preceded by a multiple choice test to ensure learning objectives have been met. Emotional intelligence has a powerful impact on our personal and professional lives. It comes naturally to some, but it can also be developed with practice. This new course is for anyone wanting to develop their skill set in this area.

This course has received a new look, in terms of refreshed visuals and a revised script. The content continues to align with current health and safety legislation, to provide learners with an understanding of what Legionella bacteria is, the symptoms and risks of contracting Legionnaires’ Disease as well as how to prevent exposure to it within the workplace.

Liberty Protection Safeguards (to replace DoLS)
Our new Liberty Protection Safeguards (LPS) course has currently been put on hold due to a last minute update from the government saying that the new LPS legislation is not coming into effect in April as planned. A consultation period is currently underway before the LPS regulations are implemented, and we will ensure our LPS course is fully updated and accurate before we launch it in the summer.

Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO)
This course is for any workers responsible for carrying out non-routine activities that involve industrial machinery and equipment, and anyone who is responsible for creating and communicating a LOTO procedure to workers.

Managing Change for Managers
This course is for managers and leaders in all industries, not only to help them understand why change management is so important but to provide an understanding of how to help their team through a transition process. Plus gain an insight into various models of change and understand how to recognise the difference between change and transition.

- Length: 20 minutes
Recognising the Value of Your Team
Packed with tips, advice and best practices, this course will help managers and leaders in all industries to understand the importance of recognising their team’s value. It covers the collection and use of team feedback, the need for fairness when it comes to recognition and reward, recognising individual efforts and more.

Managing a Remote Team
This course is relevant to any organisation with remote workers, and will support managers with setting realistic expectations for their remote team, removing obstacles for remote working as well as highlighting the importance of regular, effective communication.

The Calorie Labelling (Out of Home Sector) (England) Regulations 2021
This course has been created to reflect the government legislation that comes in on the 6th April 2022. All businesses operating in the hospitality and food retail industries should ensure they are familiar with the new regulations and this course will help employers keep check on who has and hasn’t read & understood the update.
