This Accident Reporting Training programme is designed for everyone to use. Sadly, accidents at work can happen, so it’s important that everybody within your organisation knows exactly what measures to take when one does occur.

That’s where our eLearning course can help! It gives employees the chance to gain an understanding of the best approach to take, enhancing the welfare of everybody and helping your business to meet compliance requirements too.

By the end of the accident reporting eLearning course, employees will know how to:

  • Using accident report forms correctly to record any instances of accidents

The course is split into three main sections to make it easier to digest and takes roughly between 15 and 20 minutes to complete for your convenience; whilst still covering the essentials of accident reporting.

What is meant by the term ‘Work-related’?

RIDDOR only requires you to report accidents if they happen ‘out of or in connection with work’. The fact that there is an accident at work premises does not, in itself, mean that the accident is work-related – the work activity itself must contribute to the accident.

An accident is ‘work-related’ if any of the following played a significant role:

– The way in which the work was carried out.
– Any machinery, plant, substances or equipment used for the work or
– The condition of the site or premises where the accident happened.
