About this course
Having a positive workplace culture is crucial to attracting and retaining respectful, hardworking and skilled employees.
And this starts with YOU – the leaders and management. There is no room for Bullying & Harassment in the workplace, it shouldn’t happen under any circumstances.
This Bullying and Harassment Training Course has been designed for you to learn how to best manage your team. We take you through it all – identifying, preventing, handling and combating negative behaviour in the workplace. This course covers informal approaches, formal policies and procedures, legal considerations, and the harmful effect that bullying and harassment can have on your business.
It also looks at the fine line between bullying and strong management, and how management can avoid crossing that line.
This course works in conjunction with our “Bullying and Harassment in the Workplace – Employees” course.

Clear, succinct and effective training
Clear, succinct and effective training
It was a bit subject to cover and I think the right level was attained for managers
This user gave this course a rating of 5/5 stars
The course was clear, not over complicated and covered everything Ineed in my role
The course started from the off the difference between bullying and harassment and continued to be clear throughout the training. Preventing and recognising signs was an important part as well as the processes for reporting and investigating concerns. While there are more details for HR to understand in my role I feel adequately trained and informed.
Simple and concise
This was easy to understand and the fact that the chapters could be watched again is a great feature.
Informative and Vital as a Manager
Bullying and Harassment should be a thing of the past, equality is the present and future!!

Why is this training important?
Compliance
It’s important that you comply with the law and know the ways in which it affects you and the way you work.
The Sex Discrimination Act 1975 protects people from discrimination on the grounds of sex or marital status.
The Criminal Justice and Public Order Act made intentional harassment a criminal offence.
The Protection from Harassment Act made it a criminal offence to pursue conduct that leads to harassment, or fear that violence will be used. If convicted, someone can be sentenced to up to six months in prison, or get a fine of up to £5000.
The Equality Act ensures the workplace is a fair environment for all employees, while respecting the protected characteristics of each individual.
The Health & Safety at Work Act ensures that employers are responsible for the health, safety and welfare of all employees while they’re at work.
Business benefits
Every workplace should be a safe environment, free from bullying and harassment, where people are happy and able to work at their best.
However, according to YouGov, almost a third of all workers have claimed that they’ve experienced bullying at work which has adversely affected their performance. Bullying creates a negative working environment, decreasing productivity whilst increasing staff turnover; and harassment, which is an offence, leads to criminal charges, fines, and lost reputation. You need to make sure that ALL staff are able to spot the signs and know what to do to stamp it out. This course on Bullying & Harassment not only helps people understand, identify, and tackle the problem of bullying and harassment, but also gives them to tools to prevent it from occurring in the first place.
