It made me think!

I always thought that I had a very good understanding of what a disability was and that everything that I stood for embraced and included everyone. Well I was wrong! I now think before speaking and am making a special effort to ensure that I ask before assuming and am so aware of the environment that we have created in our classroom. Thank you for a training course that has made a huge impact on the way see the world.

Very affirming

As a disabled person this was a great affirmation for me that Oriel has good disability education in place.

Informative, Clear

A very clear course explaining how people can be affected & potentially discriminated by their disability. Whether it is visible or otherwise.

Learning = working better together.

I enjoyed this course as I am really passionate about access for all and how well Eureka! does this. While I feel fairly knowledgeable about both disability awareness and inclusion, (from receiving lots of training in the school I previously worked in), the course really helped to remind me of the importance of the right to individuality and independence.

Very useful

Thank you very much for the training. It was well presented and it covered various scenarios and personal circumstances of people with disabilities. The training definitely supports better understanding of visible and invisible disabilities , discrimination, policies and procedures, etc.

I may have misheard, but I think on slide 12 of 23 the speaker said something all staff should read the policy. Surely it should be a different word to "read" such familiarise themselves with. I understand why this was said, but not everyone is able to "read" a policy,.

East to understand and very informative
