patronising and time consuming

The set up of all these courses really doesn't help me learn. I don't learn well listening to people talk, I would rather read at my own pace. This isn't possible as the transcription is highlighted at the pace the person talks, which is very distracting (and could potentially be a barrier for neurodiverse individuals carrying out the training…). The content of the course was generally good, and is an important subject for people to understand and think about, but the delivery came across as pretty patronising, as if the speakers were assuming the listeners were starting from a zero knowledge base. This being an emotive subject probably doesn't help that impression.

Made me think more about my emotions

well structured and easy to follow

Lot of information to process in 1 hour. Built in breaks are a great idea thanks. They helped to refocus as massive topic to cover in such a short period.

Over-explained introductions

Most staff in companies I've worked in over the last ten years have taken part in courses like this. These topics are also quite prominent in the news and online commentary. Taking this into account, the introductory explanations are rather long and over-explained. As a counter to this, the animations of equality and equity (the sunflowers) could be better to explain the points they make. They don't really stick in the mind as visual images, so they might not aid good retention. The Unconscious Biases course, on the other hand, is much clearer, interesting, and easier to follow, with good examples throughout.
