Overly simplistic

While the course gives a good grounding or introduction to the topic, it is overly simplistic and not based on good psychology. It tries to downplay genetics and very valid bias formation. Biases and un conscious or subconscious decision making are a hugely important evolutionary tool and should not be misrepresented as something inherently negative. It is entirely reasonable to suggest tempering decision making and not to rely only on bias but the course makes it seem as if past experience should be discounted for some ever exploratory present. Neither practical nor biologically relevant or possible.

Some crucial gaps

There are aspects of this training which do not account for neurodiverse individuals who may find eye-contact and "positive body language," difficult to impossible to achieve. These individuals are also more likely to become targets of bullying and unconscious bias so the lack of inclusion in this module is worrying. Lastly, abbreviating "Wellness Action Plan," may not have the intended pedagogical effect.

Accessible, good content and resources

Pitched at the right level for all employees. Good content on bullying and harassment that makes subject relatable and understandable. Good mix of professional (behaviours) and personal (well-being). Really good additional content throughout course which encourages further study/curiosity/training.

engaging format

Thought having different presenters and some of the visual diagrams made it easier to listen and watch a virtual pre recorded session on this topic. Hasn't unconscious bias training been identified as not effective in changing long term behaviour? I agree with the ultimate message but not with the theory.

Excellent course. Very informative
