Sexual Harassment Awareness Training Reviews

I thought the course was well laid out and clearly explained but I was surprised that of the six examples of potential harassment given, only one showed a male aggressor/female victim and even then it was only 'possibly' sexual harassment. The first two examples were of a female harasser and male victim. The statistics at the start of the course said that 60% of women experience harassment compared to 40% of men. In my previous role I experienced a range of inappropriate behaviours – from elderly solicitors who felt it was appropriate to kiss all younger women at networking events, to a client who put his arm around my waist and ultimately a partner who was drunk in my car and had made no plans to get home from my house. (I left him at a taxi rank and he bullied me until I found a new role.) I was therefore somewhat disappointed that the level of male harassment on females was not reflected in the examples. While I appreciate it is important to emphasise than males can experience harassment, it should not be at the expense of leaving out harassment of women, where there is more likely to be an imbalance in terms of physical strength.
