August 2020 Course Announcments

This month we have launched 3 fantastic courses! Our Health & Safety Essentials and Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults (Level 2) Training Courses both got a stunning visual update and we launched our brand new Managing Anxiety Training which ties in beautifully with our other Mental Health & Wellbeing Courses.

Health & Safety Essentials Training

Health & Safety Essentials

The HSE reported that 0.6 million workers sustained non-fatal injuries and 147 workers experienced fatal injuries in 2018/19.

In this IOSH Approved Training, learners will cover, Slips, Trips and Falls, Manual Handling, DSE, Fire, Electricity, Hazardous Substance, Working Environments and Health and Safety Responsibilities including training, first aid and legal requirements.

Key skills required to work with vulnerable adults

415,050 concerns of abuse were raised during 2018-19, an increase of 5.2% on the previous year. (NHS)

This online course has been specifically written for people who work in a care setting, looking at what Safeguarding means and who’s at risk. It covers the different types of abuse – including, physical, emotional, sexual and domestic abuse, neglect and more, as well as the principles of safeguarding, policies & procedures and how to respond to, record and report abuse.

Managing Anxiety Training

Sadly, in any given week in England, mixed anxiety and depression affects 8 in 100 people (Mind.org) and 12.8 million working days are lost each year in the UK due to work-related stress, depression, or anxiety (HSE).

In our IOSH Approved Managing Anxiety Course, users will be given simple ideas and practical techniques that they can use straight away, to help them better recognise and manage unease and anxiety. This includes Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and mindfulness techniques.
