Section 3
Anything you use from a fork to a freezer is food equipment, and keeping equipment and working areas clean, tidy and undamaged is key. This third section looks at cross-contamination, cleaning and disinfection, cleaning schedules, waste, food pests and more!

Section 4
There are a few different things to consider when it comes to food temperatures, deliveries, storage, preservation, packaging and labelling which we take a look at in the fourth section of our Level 3 Food Hygiene course.

Great

There was an awful lot of detail to try and remember for the test
An enjoyable course but very data/ detail heavy
Inadequate Resources and Certificate
Neither the additional resources or slide attachments were available ( I was using Google Chrome browser – as would most people) so I kept failing on questions which were only available in those documents, and it was annoying that the host kept referring to the need to refer to them, when I couldn't! The only upside was that I was able to re-start the test when this happened. I did eventually get a 100% pass, but the certificate is almost worthless as it does not have any recognised authorities on it, just the HSS logo! I chose your course over others as it had the IOSH logo on the downloadable PDF. I feel cheated by both of these, especially the certificate as I would not be able to present this to an employer. It looks like I have created it myself (except I could easily create something much more credible in Canva!). I think you need to fix your system, and improve your certificates.

Why is this food hygiene training important?
Compliance
It’s important to comply with the law and know how it affects you and the way you work.
By undergoing food hygiene training, individuals and businesses ensure they comply with legal regulations governing food safety. Understanding and adhering to these laws not only protect consumers from the risks of foodborne illnesses but also safeguard the reputation and credibility of the business.
Food Hygiene Regulations 2006
These regulations set out the basic hygiene requirements for all food businesses, from premises and equipment to staff training and hygiene. Critically, proof of appropriate practice and staff training are required by law.
Based on Regulation (EC) No 852/2004 of the European Parliament, the following legislation applies to all organisations handling foodstuffs for human consumption:
- The Food Hygiene (England) Regulations 2006
- The Food Hygiene (Wales) Regulations 2006
- The Food Hygiene (Scotland) Regulations 2006
- The Food Hygiene (Northern Ireland) Regulations 2006
