Very useful top up course

This was a very useful reminder course about mental health awareness .. There were some useful reminder tips which are very relevant to college life.

Overly simplistic

For championing positive thinking the course dwells on a lot of negative imagery, as metaphor for mental illness. https://www.ucl.ac.uk/news/2022/jul/analysis-depression-probably-not-caused-chemical-imbalance-brain-new-study It is also somewhat based on outdated concepts.

Informative and lots of good advice

BENEFICIAL

GOOD TO KNOW THAT MENTAL HEALTH IS NOT SOMETHING TO BE ASHAMED OF

good course, with lots of info

Generally good course, but not able to use some of the good practice in my role, as a lone worker.

Excellent course

Excellent course with engaging presenters, who are calm and non judmental, with some additional resources and tips to take away.

Very interesting and informative

I've always been a good listener to people's problems but this course has delved into people's feelings and anxiousness more. There are so many people with different types of mental awareness and this has educated me much more than I understood before.

Informative course

Good overview and insight for both work and home life.

Introductory Course with a few resources

As a starting point for everyone in an organisation this course highlights the importance of having conversations about mental health. The information regarding specific conditions or what to do is very basic, and varies between offering advice for the individual and for you to help others. The downloadable summary document at the end is useful though as it has links to lots of other organisations that provide valuable support and information.
