Great Refresher
Really useful refresher on a controversial subject. Encourages good practice. To keep positive and looking after your body is as important which helps manage stress levels. It does make you stop and take time out to invest in your self from eating to exercise.

I didn’t realise mental health awareness was an every day occurrence that is around us every where we turn . I will look upon this in a different way and try to be more understanding, not only in my surroundings but I will look further.

Simple, yet thought provoking & helpful
I liked the way the course was split up into small elements that could be tackled and absorbed one at a time. I liked the concept of swapping negative thoughts for positive ones I liked the idea of being self aware and reacting if the problem(s) persist including CBT I liked the point that depression is an illness that should be and can be treated I liked the point about the importance of maintaining good mental health, and of course, that mental health and physical health are entwined and act upon each other. Similarly of having a wellbeing action plan which includes achievable goals – and an eat, sleep, repeat concept. And finally the benefits of breathing ( belly breathing) and pacing oneself ( taking short breaks now and then) Another often repeated point was that of not being afraid to ask for help – whilst good it is or can be harder to achieve and would have to be, I think, proceeded with cautiously to build up the confidence in oneself and faith in the recipient – particularly as often there may not be obvious support around ( Samaritan excepted) and unburdening could, with the wrong person, be taken advantage of. So good, necessary even but to be done with care. Nevertheless being more aware of our own issues and trying to deal with them is a really good thing to do
