The Food Hygiene Regulations 2006
This legislation displays the basic hygiene requirements for those working with food, including the premises and equipment staff use and the training. Proof of adequate training and practice is required by law.
The Food Information Regulations 2014
This legislation changed the wat allergens were labelled on food packaging. It states that you can no longer say if you don’t know if an allergy is present, you can’t say that it ‘could’ contain an allergen, oral statements need to be backed up in writing and any non-compliance can result in a large fine.
The Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002
This legislation assigns duties to employers to protect employees from hazardous substances at work. Risks should be assessed and any potential exposure should be controlled, and there should be procedures in place for accidents/emergencies. Finally, training should be supplied to anyone who may be exposed.
The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) order 2005
This legislation requires employers to provide training to ALL staff and is good practice to renew training every 12 months. By providing this training staff are equipped to deal with these emergencies and potentially save their lives.

Possible offences are possession of a drug unlawfully, possession of a drug with intent to supply, supplying an illegal drug or allowing premises you occupy to be used unlawfully to supply or produce drugs.

The Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992
This legislation states that manual handling can include any lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying or lowering. Manual Handling should be suitable for the individual and the risks with the task have been assessed.
